Finding effective ways to reduce costs and improve revenue needs a new approach and an alternative option.  Dormer Pramet is setting out it’s ambition to be the preferred choice by delivering on its promise to offer Simply Reliable tools.
The global manufacturer produces Pramet indexable milling inserts and cutters, which are economical and cost-effective, in a wide variety of sizes and shapes.
These inserts and cutters have proven themselves on shopfloors, in different materials and applications, around the world time and time again. They are accurate, versatile, fast, and affordable.

Accuracy

The Pramet STN10 and STN16 (Imperial ISTN10, ISTN16) are true shoulder milling cutters with six-edged triangular negative TNGX inserts, which deliver excellent cost-effective precision. The range is suitable for steels, stainless steels, cast irons and non-ferrous metals, as well as most milling applications. Perfect chip evacuation improves surface quality of both wall and surface, while sharp-ground geometries reduce spindle load and ensure high precision in truly perpendicular corner.
TNGX inserts come in three geometries. M is first choice for steels machining but can also handle stainless steels, cast irons and even super-alloys. F is sharper and more suitable light cuts in steels, stainless steels or cast irons. Finally, the FA geometry is extra sharp and specifically designed for non-ferrous alloys.

Versatility

The Pramet SAD07, SAD11 and SAD16 (Imperial ISAD07, ISAD11, ISAD16) are universal square shoulder milling cutters that work together with ADMX and ADEX inserts. The SAD range is suitable for a variety of milling applications. Its low cutting resistance makes it well-suited for vibration sensitive machining, supports lower energy consumption, and prevents from work hardening, which all results in increased durability and reliability. They are for any milling application, from shoulder milling, pocketing, slotting, ramping, helical interpolation, plunge milling and progressive plunge milling, copy milling and even HFC milling, with specific ADEX inserts.

High-Feed

The Pramet SBN10 (Imperial ISBN10) milling cutter is an economical high-feed champion in smaller diameter ranges. These cutters utilise BNGX inserts, available in three specific geometries for productive high-feed machining of a wide variety of materials. The progressive Pramet SBN10 cutters are suitable for most milling applications, namely face milling, pocketing, copying, ramping, helical interpolation, slotting and plunging. Its unique pocket design can also carry precise ANHX inserts for finishing of wall and bottom offering a complete package for die and mold applications from fast roughing to finishing.  Their BNGX inserts come in three geometries. M is first choice for steels machining but can also handle cast irons and some hard steels. MM is sharper and more suitable for stainless steel, soft steel and super alloys. Finally, the HM geometry is specifically good for hard steels and cast irons.

The Pramet SSN11 (Imperial ISSN11) is also an economical high-feed milling top seller, which performs especially well in die and mold and general machining applications. Together with three variants of eight-edged SNGX11 inserts, they represent an extremely economical solution. A strong main cutting edge ensures high levels of durability and process security – especially when machining corners inside a pocket. The economical Pramet SSN11 cutters are suitable for most milling applications, namely face milling, pocketing, copying, ramping, helical interpolation, slotting and plunging.
Like BNGX, SNGX inserts come in three geometries. M is the first choice for steels machining as well as hardened steel and cast iron. MM provides a smoother cut and is more suitable for stainless steel, soft steel and super alloys, while the HM geometry is specifically good for hard steels and cast irons.
