Being a globally recognised manufacturer of cutting tools is not a status we take lightly. Instead of settling on standards, we push boundaries to create new ways to support our community. From general purpose to high-performance application tooling, we’re there to offer quality, consistency and certainty at every turn – and have done since 1913.
In 2024 we merged our two brands, Dormer and Pramet to one Global master brand, Dormer Pramet. This will allow us to better deliver certainty and simplicity to our customers now and in the future.
Our products cover every corner of our community, from milling, turning, boring, hole-making and threading tools that supply small family-run workshops to OEM and Tier 1 suppliers within the automotive, aerospace and rail industries.

Good things happen when we come together. That’s why the Dormer Pramet family also includes two national brands, Miranda and Precision Twist Drill.
Miranda (India)
Miranda is known for manufacturing high-speed steel cutting tools to tight tolerances and to international standards (ISO and DIN) for over 75 years. Their products include a range of cutting and milling tools from jobber, stub and solid carbide drill sets to platinum cut taps, two-flute end mills and chucking reamers, from parallel shank to taper shank.
Precision Twist Drill (USA)
Precision Twist Drill has delivered high-quality cutting tools to precision engineering environments since 1952. What started in a suburban Chicago garage has grown to become a recognised and widely respected brand across North America. Its strong product portfolio includes jobber, drills, extra length drills, aircraft extension drills, taper shank drills and sets.
