How we strengthen protection, performance and certainty across our global operations

Safety is one of our core values and a defining part of how we care for the manufacturing community. It shapes how we design our processes, lead our teams, and operate in every location around the world. We see safety as a responsibility that belongs to all of us from the moment, we step into a site to the moment a tool reaches a customer. When you choose a Dormer Pramet tool, you can trust that it’s been produced in environments that prioritize quality, consistency and responsible practices. Protecting our teams helps us maintain the high manufacturing standards that our customers rely on every day. The same care we apply to our workplaces flows through to the tools you use, supporting safer performance in your own operations. While safety is physical, it’s also cultural whether we are working at one of our sites or within a customer environment. Everyone should feel confident in raising concerns, suggesting improvements or pausing a task if something doesn’t feel right. Open, respectful communication helps us to identify and resolve risks early and contributes to a stronger, more secure workplace for all.

How we embed safety into our daily work

Across every region, our teams follow an approach built on prevention, awareness and continuous improvement. This ensures safety is part of every shift, every decision and every conversation.

Key elements include:

  • Ongoing training that strengthens prevention and awareness
  • Internal inspections and audits to identify and correct risks early
  • Active engagement, supported by clear reporting of hazards and close calls
  • Daily safety dialogues that reinforce safe behaviors and raise visibility
  • Leadership accountability that builds trust and encourages open discussion
  • Continuous improvement projects to ensure safer equipment, safer processes and safer working environments
  • Starting all meetings and presentations with a safety moment to align everyone before work begins

The result is a consistent, global culture where colleagues look out for one another and take responsibility for the environments in which they work. From production units to offices, home working to customer environments, our teams operate in a multitude of places, and we have embedded a culture of working that keeps everyone safe, no matter where they are working.

What safety looks like across our production units

While each location has its own operational needs, we see the same commitment from every team across our network. In 2025, that shared focus led to several important milestones. Here are some highlights from two of our production units:

São Paulo, Brazil: 365 days without a lost-time accident (LTI)

On 31 October 2025, our São Paulo site reached one full year without an LTI.

This achievement reflects thousands of safe decisions made every day. It was supported by:

  • 2-minute daily safety dialogues
  • Targeted prevention and awareness training
  • Regular inspections and risk-focused audits
  • Strong participation in hazard and risk reporting
  • Improvements to equipment, layout and procedures

Colleagues and leaders played an equally important role, building a culture where people feel confident to speak up, pause work when needed and suggest improvements.

Šumperk, Czech Republic: 444 days and renewed "Safe Enterprise" certification

Our Šumperk site also demonstrated exceptional performance, reaching 444 consecutive days without an LTI.

In addition, the site renewed its Safe Enterprise certification, awarded by the State Labour Inspection Office in Czech Republic and valid until June 2028.

The certification recognizes high standards across ten areas of occupational safety and confirms compliance with ILO-OSH 2001 and OHSAS 18001:2007. It has been achieved every three years since 2016.

This consistent performance shows the strength of our team and their commitment to continuous improvement.

Shared strengths across the organization

Across the globe, our teams follow the same principles:

  • Keep processes under control
  • Keep people informed
  • Keep identifying risks
  • Keep improving

This collective responsibility is what builds safer environments and sustained results.

Looking ahead with focus

Our achievements reflect the efforts of many people, but they also set the benchmark for what comes next. Safety will continue to guide our decisions as we:

  • Maintain open dialogue and encourage active reporting
  • Strengthen competency through training and upskilling
  • Introduce smarter, safer processes and technologies
  • Keep improving every area of our operations
  • Share best practice across regions

Safety is part of who we are. By continuing to focus on people, processes and continuous improvement, we'll create even safer workplaces and deliver even greater certainty for our customers, partners and communities.
