Dormer and Pramet – better together
We’re built on two proud histories.
Dormer began in Sheffield (UK) and became synonymous with solid rotary tools, especially high-speed steel (HSS) drills. With innovations such as tinted drill coatings and a reputation for technical excellence, Dormer earned the loyalty of distributors and end-users alike.
Pramet, founded in Sumperk (Czech Republic), brought deep expertise in indexable tooling. Known for serving heavy industries such as railway, power generation and automotive, the Pramet brand grew by offering tailored technical support and solutions for complex machining tasks.
Bringing the two brands together enabled us to provide a comprehensive offer, extending our reach, knowledge, and ability to support customers worldwide.

Smarter design for a circular future
Our tooling may be tough, but we’re always evolving.
Today, our packaging reflects a move toward greater circularity, replacing the iconic red Dormer and blue Pramet boxes with a new design in grey and orange. This new packaging is made from post-consumer recycled materials, supporting easier recycling and reduced waste, while continuing to protect the trusted tools inside.

With a proud heritage in India, Miranda is a well-established brand known for manufacturing high-speed steel cutting tools to tight tolerances and to international standards (ISO and DIN) since 1945. Miranda products include a range of cutting and milling tools from jobber, stub and solid carbide drill sets to platinum cut taps, two-flute end mills and chucking reamers, from parallel shank to taper shank. Precision
Founded in the United States in 1952 as Precision Twist Drill (PTD), Precision has a long history of delivering dependable rotary cutting tools to engineers across North America. From jobber drills and taper shank drills to aircraft extension and extra-length options, Precision products are designed for accuracy, consistency, and ease of use. It’s a brand built for the demands of precision machining in industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy and general manufacturing.
