In 2024, we united the Dormer and Pramet brands under the global master brand Dormer Pramet. It means we can deliver a simplified service to our customers, combining industry-leading turning, milling, threading and hole-making tools all under one roof. Together, we’re better.

Dormer becomes the first drill manufacturer in Europe to introduce the steam temper treatment to their products

Pramet begins production of sintered carbide in Sumperk (Czech Republic)

Precision Twist Drill founded in Chicago, IL

Dormer becomes the largest twist drill manufacturer in the world with 2,500 employees

Dormer becomes part of Sandvik Group

Precision Twist Drill becomes part of Sandvik and merges with Union Butterfield
